Lieutenant David Hull (Regional Training Officer, Region 1-4), Lieutenant Commander Denis Thiede (Commanding Officer of Barque Eagle Division in Plainville, CT), LTJG Matthew Landry (Commanding Officer of Massachusetts Bay Division) and LTJG Richard Almeida (Executive Officer of Massachusetts Bay) will be hosting Petty Officer Leadership Academy New England (Class 6) at Naval Station Newport, with the support and assistance of the U.S. Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy. Students will receive instruction from the Master Chiefs and Command Master Chiefs who make up the faculty of the SEA. In addition, students will participate in daily role-playing exercises and small discussion groups. Each cadet will also have an opportunity to act as the Leading Petty Officer - there is no better way to learn about leadership than to experience it! The training will be held from Wednesday 26 December 2007 to Tuesday 01 January 2008 at Naval Station Newport in Newport, Rhode Island. Essential information about this training is contained in the Welcome Aboard Packet found at the right side of this page. Please review the information contained therein, and after doing so, contact LT Hull to reserve a billet. There is a strong possibility that we will not be able to lodge on board the Naval Station, so we are working on nearby alternatives. In the meantime, please assume that the information in the packets is correct, but watch this site for more information. If you confirm a billet, I will email when any information changes. ALL BILLETS FOR 2007 ARE FULL. For students who still need to send in waivers, send ALL APPROPRIATE WAIVERS to: LT David I. Hull, NSCC Thank you for your interest, and I hope to see you in Newport in December! David I. Hull, M.S., M.A., J.D.
