SEA CADETS DAY OF GIVING 2026

Celebrate Our Legacy. Shape the Future.

On September 10, honor the birth of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps by investing in the next generation of leaders.

For more than six decades, Sea Cadets has transformed the lives of thousands of young Americans. On this special anniversary of our founding day–Sept 10, 1962–we invite you to be part of something powerful.

Your gift is needed now more than ever.

While congressional support is important, it isn’t enough to sustain and grow Sea Cadets. Federal funding has remained essentially unchanged for more than a decade, while the cost of uniforms, transportation, training facilities, meals, and equipment continues to rise. We are committed to ensuring that no young person misses out on the life-changing opportunities Sea Cadets provides because of financial barriers. That’s why your generosity is so important.

Your unrestricted gift helps us provide life-changing experiences: from leadership training to skills certification and community service. You’re not just making a gift—you’re giving a young person his or her first taste of confidence, discipline, and belonging.

$50 could spark curiosity with a unit-wide STEM project like rocket building.

$150 might help gear up a cadet with essential items for their seabag.

$250 could open the door to recruit training for one motivated cadet.

$800 might set a cadet on their path with enrollment and uniforms.

Track Our Progress

We’re aiming for 250 individual donors for this 2026 Day of Giving. Every contribution moves us closer to our goal.

Last year we had over 250 donors (thank you to everyone who made a gift), so our goal is increased this year. We can do this!

Thanks to the generosity of Sea Cadets Board Chair Emerita, Dr. Lynn Atkinson, every gift made will be matched, doubling your impact for our cadets. Her leadership challenge is an opportunity to make your support go twice as far in providing life-changing experiences for young people across the country.

229 Donors

Whether you’re a former cadet, a proud parent, or a supporter of youth leadership, this is your chance to pay it forward.

No need to wait—every unrestricted gift made between now through September 10 counts toward our goal, so don’t wait.

We are deeply grateful for your support.

Double Your Impact with Employer Matching

Did you know many employers will match your donation to Sea Cadets? Some even double or triple it.

Your $50 could become $100—or more—just by submitting a quick form. It’s one of the easiest ways to make an even greater difference for cadets.

Ask your employer’s HR department if your company offers donation matching.

Possible Tax Savings

If you are 73 years and older please consider using your Required Minimal Distributions to make a gift and potentially save on taxes.
