Join the Band of the West Division (the nation’s only Sea Cadet band) this summer for a very special Advanced Music Training in celebration of the Sea Cadet’s 60th birthday.
We will be traveling to Washington, D.C. to first train at the Naval School of Music and then perform a series of meaningful concerts in our nation’s capital, culminating in representing the Sea Cadet Corps at the National Independence Day Parade down Constitution Avenue. The Band of the West, along with NSCC cadet musicians from all across the nation, will form the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps Band to perform in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, DC.
I know the cadets who will participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will feel a sense of pride knowing they are working for the greater good of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. We are looking nation-wide for all qualified musicians to come and support our mission.
· Must play concert band instruments only.
· Limited billets will be available and cadets must be proficient on instrument and able to quickly learn new music. We are looking for the best of the best.
· Must have passed RTC or NLCC Orientation prior to participation.
· There are limited billets - so if you are interested, start practicing for auditions. Sea Cadets interested in this opportunity must audition for selection. Online auditions will be held in April 2022, details will be available soon.
Once selected, the Band of the West will set-up training dates from late June through July 4, 2022.
