Supporting the Legacy of Sea Cadets
Want to include Sea Cadets in your estate plans? Here’s how.
Making a bequest to the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps, a 501(c)(3) organization, is a simple way to transform the lives of thousands of young people each year and strengthen our commitment to nurturing future leaders who embody the values of discipline, honor, and service for generations to come.
You can name Sea Cadets your will or trust by providing your advisor or financial account administrator with the following information:
“I hereby give to the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps a not-for-profit organization (Tax ID: 52-0808385) with offices at 2300 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 200, Arlington, VA 22201, the sum of $_______; or _______% of the residue of my estate to be used for general support.”
Charitable IRA Distributions
If you are age 70 ½ or older you may be eligible to transfer up to $100,000 in gifts directly from your IRA to the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps and exclude the amount of your gift from taxable income.
Before finalizing your charitable plans, we encourage you to seek the counsel of your legal or financial advisor.
If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact Jennifer Gregg at development@seacadets.org. Thank you for supporting Sea Cadets!
